Mobile Homeless Outreach

The Mobile Homeless Outreach team prepares and serves fresh nutritious meals to the homeless living on the street. We performs outreaches three times a week during hours when most other soup kitchens are closed. By cultivating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for our guests, we hope to impart a sense of dignity to those often afforded scant respect by society. We strive to be more than a “feeding program” by also providing our guests with bug-out toiletry packages, counseling and shelter referrals. The team’s hope is to purchase and operate several mobile food units to expand the canteen services previously offered.

 

 

 

Community Work Projects

The Community Work Project team is a group of skilled volunteers who believe in giving their time and talent and paying it forward to families, businesses and to their community. The team meets at least once a month to perform routine work that is oftentimes regarded as unglamorous such as cleaning, moving, gardening, painting and building projects, in order to give back to the community.

 

 

 

Family Service Projects

Our Family Service team is a group of professionals who offer family counseling and mentoring programs for the entire family. This team conducts meetings via conference calls and works closely with MCUSA’s advisory board and organizations to raise funds for special activities such as summer camping trips, self-defense training and other entertainment and events.

 

 

 

Economic Empowerment

The Economic Empowerment team is a group of business professionals and entrepreneurs who provide employment training classes to educate and motivate those we serve. Our classes teach basic application and resume writing, communication, presentation and grooming skills to those interested in seeking employment or becoming self employed. For untrained individuals we offer wood carving training and street vending opportunities.

 

 

 

Overseas Mission Trips

Our Overseas Mission trips offer opportunities for volunteers to raise funds for food, clothing and supplies that will be delivered to countries outside of the U.S.
